Welcome to Policy Stream. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Policy Stream (“the Platform”) provides insurance brokers (“Users”) with digital tools for data collection, application management, and policy streamlining. By using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Responsibilities of the User

Policy Stream is a data collection and application processing tool. Users are solely responsible for:

  • Client Information Accuracy: Ensuring all client details entered into the platform are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in their jurisdiction, including but not limited to document retention, data security, and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Verification of Quoting Accuracy: Understanding that all insurance quotes generated by the platform are estimates, and Users must verify the final rates and terms directly with carriers.
  • Proper Submission to Carriers: Ensuring that all submitted applications, forms, and documents are properly completed and meet the carrier’s requirements.
  • Confidentiality & Security: Safeguarding client data and maintaining compliance with all relevant data privacy laws (e.g., PIPEDA, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).

3. Disclaimer of Liability

Policy Stream provides tools for brokers but does not:

  • Guarantee the accuracy or completeness of quotes, rates, or policy details.
  • Act as an insurance provider, advisor, or regulatory compliance authority.
  • Take responsibility for any errors, omissions, or misrepresentations in submitted applications.
  • Ensure compliance with any jurisdictional laws—this is the sole responsibility of the User.

Users acknowledge that the final approval, issuance, and terms of any insurance policy rest solely with the respective insurance carriers.

4. Limitation of Liability

Policy Stream shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our platform. This includes, but is not limited to, errors in quoting, incorrect client data entry, compliance failures, or loss of business opportunities.

5. Data Protection & Privacy

Users must ensure they handle client data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Policy Stream implements security measures but does not assume liability for unauthorized access due to User negligence.

6. Modification of Terms

Policy Stream reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitute acceptance of the new terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
